Heavenly Father, we are joined with one another in this common life. With our prayers today focused on the unity of your holy Church, we pray for one another, saying “Kyrie Eleison, hear our prayer.”

For those who are committed to the daily struggle of seeing past one another’s differences, for those who see in each individual person the face of Christ, we ask your blessing. Grant them courage in the face of derision, perseverance in the face of hopelessness, and the strength to inspire your people daily.

We pray for your Church here on earth be inspired to proclaim the gospel of your love in the death and resurrection of your Son. May all people hear the call to trust you.

Help your people to display your compassion to all those in need.  May the poor and the lost of this world find in you their true wealth and sure identity. Enable us to see one another as brothers and sister in Christ, so that we may love one another as we love ourselves.

We praise you for your creation, and all you richly provide.  Enable us to live in such a way that your majesty and mercy are seen by all.

We pray for those in this community of Middlesboro, and in the surrounding communities of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia. May we join together to see our communities grow, our children thrive, our toil mutually benefit one another, and our prayers lift one another up.

We pray for our world’s leaders, at the global, national, and local levels, that they may uphold peace and see justice prevail. Grant them wisdom in their decisions, and lead them to promote the dignity and freedom of every person.

We pray for Katherine, our presiding Bishop, Bishop Doug, and all Bishops, for our priest, Peter, and all priests, and who serve in Christ’s name. Grant them guidance, wisdom, and perseverance.

We pray for those who are troubled in body, mind, or spirit. Grant them healing, strength, and peace. Give comfort to the suffering, to those in conflict, and to those hurting.

We pray for you to shine light perpetual on the faithfully departed. We commemorate he lives well spent and good works fin service to others, even as we miss those who have gone before us.

Rejoicing with those in every generation in whom Christ has been honored, but especially with the ever blessed Virgin Mary, let us hope for peace, for compassion, for love, for mercy, and for unity, and let us commend ourselves, and one another, and all our lives to God.
